Visited whilst attending the Swanage Railway annual Diesel Gala Day. Just down the road from the preserved railways Corfe Castle station is this church. Said to have been built on the cottage of a blind woman, who gave refuge to the body of King (later Saint) Edward after his murder in 978. The orginial 13th century church, itself once very popular with the locals fell into disprepar and in 1859 all bar the tower was demolished and re-built.
