A church at Fawley apparently existed in 971. The present church was built between 1170 and 1340. A very good article on the church can be found on the <a href="http://www.southernlife.org.uk/fawleych.htm">Southern Life</a>. Unfortunately the church was found locked on an afternoon editorial visit. No details of the key holder was given.
